Introducing Claire Emmanuelle

Claire Emmanuelle was born September 30, 2010 at 9:35pm, weighing 6 lbs 7 oz and measuring 19″ long.

I had a very easy delivery for a first-time mom; she was out after only 12 pushes (about five minutes)! However, recovery and adjusting to life as a mother are a lot more difficult than I imagined and I have found myself neglecting this blog.

Guest posts will begin to go up shortly, and I promise to write my labor story when I find the time and energy. In the meantime, I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone for your prayers, good wishes, and lovely messages.

Enjoy these precious moments with your newborn, and don't worry about neglecting your blog … we'll still be here when you're ready to return Can't wait for the labor story; but again, don't rush yourself.

Everyone always oohs and ahhs over newborn babies but I never really got it because I always thought some newborn babies looked wrinkly and pruny…THAT BEING SAID, I can honestly say that she is the cutest looking baby I've ever seen, with the sweetest face I've ever laid eyes on straight from the birthing pod. Congrats, congrats, congrats! She is a beautiful baby and I'm sure you and your husband are in for an incredible ride from this day on!
