Blogging Break

In addition to Claire’s extra fussiness during the past week, a series of circumstances have left me severely disappointed and disheartened with the world and its inhabitants.

Furthermore, J’s parents will be returning to Hong Kong tomorrow. Which means that it will be just me with the baby (and Comang) from now on while J is at work. While I am grateful for all the help that my in-laws have provided, I wish they had gradually given me more time alone with the baby so that I will not be scared so sh*tless for the upcoming days/weeks/months (however long it will take for me to adjust to my new living situation).

As such, I have decided to take a break from blogging.

I am not sure how long it will last, but hopefully it will not be for too long.

I hope everyone has a great start to the new year!

  1. Don't be scared. You're a momma through and through; remember that. Come back soon.

  2. You've already successfully created the most beautiful baby in the world and I'm sure that you will be able to care for her with absolutely NO problems. Take all the time you need and soon you will be an expert at baby slinging. Good luck and have fun discovering her needs on your own.

  3. I don't comment as often as I would like but I have been following your blog. I think this may be good for you both to take this break even I will be missing your posts. have a nice break and see you soon!

Good luck! I'm sure you'll be great. And remember- with infants, the moment you think you have a routine/schedule, they change! Don't put too much pressure on yourself!

  7. Good luck; while I will definitely miss your posts, you deserve a break!!

My baby is five months old and at 3 months he also had a little regressive/growth spirt/angry baby phase but it lasted a couple weeks and is gone now and he is pretty awesome most of the time now. I went home and visited my parents for a month after I had my son and then again on several trips and although the extra help is nice in a way, for some reason my son is just so much easier to handle when it is only me and him. He knows what to expect from me and I know what to expect from him and we settle into our own little rythym and I bet the same will happen for you. My husband is deployed for a year (been gone almost 2 months now) and I was so afraid of what it would be like to be essentially a single mother with no family around, but my son and I have settled into our life here and I honestly can't complain. You can do it, our babies sound like they had/have a lot in common during their first few months.

Take care, Jenny. All the best to you, J and Claire. Will definitely miss you and eagerly await your return. I'll just have to scour the internet for interesting stuff on my own in the meantime…!

  12. You DESERVE this, Jenny. Take some one-on-one time with your sweet girl. Everybody keeps telling me to enjoy this time because they're never this dependent on you again – something I have to keep reminding myself! :)

take care of yourself! you have so much to look forward to! i feel so stressed out lately. maybe it has something to do with the holidays being over. or maybe i'm just feeling tired of the same old routine – work, home, eat, sleep, and do it all over again and again. it's the grind of life. sigh.

  20. BB:

Good luck! I'm sure you and baby will do great.
