Rumors I’ve Heard About Anna Wintour

It’s confession time, boys and girls!

I don’t particularly like the book The Devil Wears Prada. I don’t think the movie was that great either (despite the oh-so-fab outfits). So why is it that I’ve read the book numerous times, and watched the movie more times than I would like to admit?

Are there any books or movies that have the same effect on you?

Anyhow, the reason I bring up this guilty pleasure of mine can be credited to an artist named Lisa Hanawalt. She has created a series of illustrations titled Rumors I’ve Heard About Anna Wintour, and it’s pretty damn hilarious if I do say so myself.

Click on over to the link for more so-insane-it-must-be-true rumors about the petite fashion icon!

P.S. — Did anyone watch the movie The September Issue? Was it worth 90 minutes of your time?

  1. Zoe:

hehe, there wasn’t much substance to the movie, but WATCHING fashion was definitely more bearable than READING about it in the book. O.o

  2. I actually did watch “The September Issue.” I like clothes but I am not completely into high fashion. Either way, I found it fascinating to see Anna Wintour’s power and deep influence over the fashion industry.

  3. I watched The September Issue, but it wasn’t really interesting enough for me to totally focus on – I just had it on in the background while I did other things. I did enjoy it, though! And those comics are amazing!!

  4. I watched the September Issue and although it was interesting, I agree its more of a movie you put on in the background if you have other things to do.

  5. Those are hilarious! The movie was fun to look at, but the book annoyed me. It really bugged me that she quit so close to the end. If she hadn’t quit months earlier after all the hell she went through, why quit when she was so close to the goal? I dunno. Like I said, it bugged me! :)

  6. LOL! Love it! I really liked The Semptember Issue, actually. It was a little “blah” at times, and Anna Wintour doesn’t pique my interest, but the true star was Grace Coddington. That woman is just… amazing. Smart, creative, dedicated, inspiring. It’s worth the watch just for her, IMO.
