THE Best Lounge Pants for Petites! (And Talls!)

A few weeks ago, I realized that the ratty old lounge pants I was donning were more than a decade old. They were stretched out, pilling, stained, and just plain ugly from age.

Luckily, Old Navy was having a huge sale, so while picking up some new PJs for Claire, I decided to get a pair of the Petite Women’s Wide-Leg Active Pants for myself.

Admittedly, they don’t look that great in the product photos.

BUT YOU GUYS.

These pants are just…amazing. They’re soooo much better-looking in person than in the pictures. The fabric is the perfect thickness, there’s just the right amount of stretch, the slight bootleg cut is flattering, and IT COMES IN PETITE AND TALL SIZES.

Additionally, these pants have pockets. POCKETS, people! I don’t know why more lounge/workout pants have pockets!

If you don’t believe me, just take a look at the 885 (as of this writing) glowing reviews!

I also love that you can dress them up or down.  :-D

In case you’re wondering, I’m wearing the Petite S size.

I can’t speak for the taller ladies, but my fellow shorties can attest to the fact that it can be difficult to find nice, petite-length pants. Especially lounge/workout pants.

These aren’t exactly CHEAP at $19.50 a pop, but they’re certainly more affordable than many of your other brand-name pants. (Plus, Old Navy has sales practically every other week!)

J loves them too — he says that he likes the way my butt looks in them.

I have since purchased another pair in the charcoal color, and two additional pairs in black, so that I now have two of each color.

And I only wish Old Navy made these in additional colors, because I would snatch them up in a heartbeat!

  1. Elle:

    How tall are you?

  2. Love comfortable lounge pants. I’ll be checking out Old Navy, thanks for the tip.

  3. MrsW:

Um. Yes. Gosh I need some new lounge pants, especially with my post-baby-#2 body. All my biggish stuff kind of fits but gives me muffin tops, which sucks. :(

  4. Going with your recommendation and just ordered 2 pairs online (no longer available in-store). I’m 5’1″ too so I think these’ll be good. :)

  5. Nice pants. I need a new pair of lounge pants too. My current one is rather loose. :(

Where did you get your orange striped shirt? It looks really cute and comfy!

    • I got it from LOFT just last month! I just checked online, and they don’t have the orange one anymore but they have it in blue: Striped Bow Back Tunic

And just in case you’re wondering, it *is* very comfy! The fabric is soft and feels more expensive than the price (but then again, I got it during one of LOFT’s major sales), the thickness is perfect, and it can be dressed up or down. I still remember how the salesperson said to me, “Oh I LOVE this top!” when she was ringing me up. I think that the physical stores may still have them in orange.

Thanks for the tip! I went to the store and got the one in navy. Super cute and comfy. Also, it’s on sale plus everything in the store was an extra 40% off. Score!

  7. I really needed new lounge pants and bought a pair at Target this weekend which are about a foot too long. I figured since they were cheap I could cut the bottom. Old Navy is usually my go to for pants b/c of their lengths but I had no idea they had lounge pants in petite too! I’ll have to go.

  8. I wish I had seen your post earlier! They are out of the size I wanted to try in both colors. I hope they come back…
