Nutrition Facts, Redesigned

While I am a foodie, I’m not the healthiest person in the world when it comes to eating.
Alright, I eat like crap. (Don’t worry, I’ve gotten a lot better since I got pregnant.)
So it should come to no surprise that I hardly ever pay attention to nutrition facts labels. Ingredients. Vitamins/minerals. Measurements. Percentages. Yawn.
Maybe if it were prettier…
Oh, wait.

How GORGEOUS are the re-designed nutritional facts on this milk carton?
While it is only a concept, I would buy this carton of milk (even if it cost a bit more) and enjoy ogling it — not…

Would You Try Human Breast Milk?

Last week, a NY chef made headlines by adding cheese made of human breast milk to his menu.

The dish caused quite a stir and even managed to make its way to national news outlets. Those who tried the dish found it quite tasty; however, the general public found the mere idea of healthy adults consuming human breast milk disturbing.

Pho Tableware Set

I am loving this Pho tableware set!

Designed by Omid Sadri:

Inspired by the form of the Vietnamese lantern, this pho bowl set is intended to simplfy and enrich the experience of eating the famous Vietnamese soup. The bowl set makes it easier to carry the soup and its many condiments, while creating a new eating experience by progressively revealing the different layers.

While it is designed for pho, J and I both agree that this set can also be used for other Asian dishes, such as authentic Japanese ramen, or Korea’s many casserole dishes.

Rank-Free Kimchi?

If Korea were to have a national dish, most people would undoubtedly point to kimchi. With roots tracing to ancient times, there exist dozens of variations, and is the most popular banchan – or side dish – on Korean tables.
Kimchi is so deeply-rooted in Korean culture that Koreans say “kimchi” instead of “cheese” when smiling for the camera. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you may remember when I wrote about Space Kimchi, which was developed so that Korean astronauts do not have to part with kimchi when in space. Heck, there is even a…

Recipes?

I’ve been cooking a lot more in the past few months in order to save money.
Many women say that they do not have the time or energy to cook dinner after a hard day at the office, so I guess I’m lucky in the sense that I work for a non-profit and get to leave work at 5pm every day. I usually get home, have a bit of “me” time to relax, then start dinner. By the time the food is ready to be served, J comes home from work and we dig in.

갈비 (galbi, or Korean…
