Parenting WIN [Flying with Babies]

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day! We had a fun-packed weekend of parties, cakes, and Korean BBQ. 🙂

For those who traveled this past vacation — especially with babies, no less — here’s a salute to you, and an inspiring story of consideration from the parents of 14-week-old twins.

Yesterday, Redditor gigantomachy uploaded the following photo and captioned it, “Brilliant and thoughtful parents handed these out to everyone on my flight.”

Having previously voiced my opinion on traveling with babies, I can’t help but applaud these parents for their ingenuity and consideration for their fellow passengers. This isn’t to say that all parents who fly with their kids should go a similar route. Rather, those who choose to go the extra mile are sure to be met with smiles and kindness. Heck, if I were on this flight — and the babies were extreme nightmares — I would still be too charmed to complain.

What a great idea! I am totally going to do this if I ever have to fly with an infant.

Wow! This is the nicest/most considerate thing I’ve seen in awhile. How BIG was that flight? I certainly will never be so kind as to ever do something like this. lol. Crying babies on flights suck, but I guess I’m in the minority that always feels bad for the parents having to deal with it as opposed to feeling bad for my ears.

  3. Cute. I love the idea.

As a parent of two under two who flies internationally with them several times a year, this sounds like a helluva lot of WORK. How about this… I hand out a piece of paper that says, “We don’t want to be on this flight with our kids just as much as you don’t want us to be. We’ll pull out all the stops to do our best to keep them occupied and quiet, but if my infant screams … trust me, I’m more upset about it than you are.”

Brilliant, totally doing this in the future, although the lawyer in me wonders what would happen if someone choked on any of the contents …
