Things They Don’t Tell You About Pregnancy #214

TMI Warning!

I’m short. Hence, I have short limbs. I have already stated that everyday activities like driving and doing the dishes is starting to become a hassle due to my growing belly and short arms not having the reach required to partake in these proceedings.

Now, I have one more to add to that list.

It’s becoming increasingly more difficult to wipe myself after going to the bathroom. Especially after having done a #2.

“Do you want me to start wiping for you?” J asked last night with a snicker.

I already dread the day when J will have to start shaving my legs and clipping my toenails (and I never get pedicures because I have a complex about strangers touching my feet). Let’s not add wiping after doing #2 to the list too.

Hahaha, I used to do these blogs "Things People Don’t Tell You About Pregnancy First Tri" and so on. Luckily I never had the butt problem, I think I was just super good at reaching back and under my giganto belly.

Since you’re supposed to wipe front to back, this shouldn’t be a problem?

  3. Geek in Heels says:

@Lauren — I meant that I’m having trouble reaching that far back (my anus) with my belly in the way! The front is fine; it’s the back that I have trouble.

  4. Christine says:

Why would you have trouble? Can’t you just reach your hand around the back side and take care of business from there? It sounds like you’re trying to reach around your belly and through your legs to wipe yourself. I can’t imagine that your arms wouldn’t be able to reach around the back side.

@Christine — Trying to twist my torso around, at least enough for me to reach back there, is actually more uncomfortable for me with my giant belly.

Hahaha. I’m so with you on this one. I think Mrs. Shortcake posted something similar to this a few months back?

On another note, how are you handling the summer heat? Everything good on your end? 🙂
