What I Wouldn’t Give to Be a Mother

Yesterday I read that a woman with no vagina became pregnant and went on to deliver a baby boy.

Granted, the “miraculous conception” occurred under extraordinary circumstances — fellatio followed by an abdominal stab wound — but I couldn’t help but question my own body afterwards.

Because the truth of the matter is, I would gladly get stabbed in the stomach if it meant a baby.

And I know plenty of other women who feel the same way.

You’re going to be such a wonderful mother one day — thoughtful, tough, sensitive. BTW, That was the zaniest story I’ve every read!!!!

  2. You’re in a dark place and I know it very well. For me, prayer and my relationship with God lifted me out of it. All I know is that I have peace now. You have to live your life while you’re waiting for that blessing. I wish I could wave that magic wand and make everyone who desire to be pregnant… pregnant. I didn’t read the story, but I just heard about virgin births on the television show: House. Again I say, I know where you are.

It’s hard waiting, hoping… praying but you have to find that peace so you can live your today. The worse thing to do is to compare yourself to other women who are mothers. Everybody has issues. Many are not fairing well with motherhood, as we see from the rising child abuse statistics. One thing I do know, your child will know he or she was wanted.

I’d be happy to share my story, feel free to email me. I’ll keep you in my prayers. I wish you many blessings and miracles.
