Link of the Day

As a bona fide bookworm, I can’t help but excitedly share this link of the day:

Top 10 Most Outrageous Opening Lines in Literature

If I could add one more, it would be Love Story:

What can you say about a twenty-five year old girl who died? That she was beautiful and brilliant. That she loved Mozart and Bach. The Beatles. And me.

Do you have any you think should belong on the list?

I just wrote another private post. To access it, please register.

(I promise I’ll never spam you or share your name/email…this is just to know who’s reading my personal posts. Be warned, though, that I periodically go through the list and delete accounts that look bogus. Once you log in, you’ll see a link to my private blog under the “Navigation” section of the sidebar.)

Hey. I noticed you hadn’t been posting (at least, according to my google reader) so I came over to visit your site. And it turns out that you’ve been a busy blogger! I checked my reader stats and, sure enough, it claims that you haven’t posted anything in all of October. It also reported that a "Fetching Error" was encountered.

Not sure what’s going on. But now I’ll have to catch up on your posts via your main site instead of RSS. Btw, the main reason I came over to the site was to ask you how you’ve been liking the switch to SquareSpace! let me know.

    Hi Sherry!

That’s so weird…have you tried just re-adding the site (just https://www.geekinheels.com) to G-Reader ? When you do that, G-Reader should automatically add https://www.geekinheels.com/blog/rss.xml or https://www.geekinheels.com/blog/atom.xml. Let me know if that doesn’t work!

I’m loving Squarespace! It’s easily the most powerful and most user-friendly blogging platform I’ve ever used…and I’ve tried almost all of the major ones. I would like some additional features, but they’re constantly working on updates/new features and so my wishlist will probably be non-existent in the near future. Alexandra (Shortcake) has started a blog called Our Little Haus via Squarespace too! Let me know if you have any questions!
