The radio actually mentioned what they think will be the "it" toy of the year. It’s actually really lame…zhu zhu pets? I have to laugh at the trends of toys…

Apparently, list price for each hamster is supposed to be $7 or $8 each, but wow, they are already at $20-$30! :\

I feel kind of sad that we’ve moved from inexpensive toys like the Rubiks cube to gaming consoles worth hundreds. šŸ™ It’s just not the same.

Jenna – I was thinking the same thing when I first saw this list. Even Legos are so much fancier than what we had when we were kids. I really do think that simpler (and often less expensive toys) help foster creativity and free thinking.

Every year around Christmas there are always a number of popular items or toys, that are hard to find or out of stock. I’ve got a free browser tool at Sold Out Gifts 2009.com that peaks into Amazon.com’s inventory system, and sounds an alarm on your computer telling you the toy you wanted is now in stock at Amazon.com. You can then order the hot toyin seconds at the best retail price, instead of much higher third party seller prices.
