Kristin & Kayla: Creative Kids Photography

Last October, photographer Jason Lee's über-creative pictures of his two daughters became viral. I was quick to share the item on my Google Reader and tweet about it, but I don't believe I ever blogged about the father, his camera, and his two adorable girls. Jason Lee is a wedding photographer by trade, but when his mother became ill with non-hodgkins lymphoma in 2006, he set up a website called http://kristinandkayla.com to keep her up-to-date and cheer her up with whimsical pictures of her granddaughters. Kristin and Kayla are incredibly adorable in their own right, but the way that their father poses each shot to give each scene a curiously playful spin is what makes these photos so unique and loved by...

Laughing Baby

We're not exactly sure why Claire was in such a good mood today (if only she were like this every day!), but we didn't dare jinx it by even questioning why. We took it all in stride, enjoying every last minute, and when she went into a 3- minute long laughing frenzy, J scrambled for his phone to record a short video. Be that as it may, I have a feeling that even he won't be able to resist these adorable fortune cookie baby booties from Etsy seller sushibooties: I love everything about these $24 booties — from the the personalized custom fabric fortunes to the Chinese takeout box packaging.  It also doesn't hurt that they look super warm and comfy, and feature no-slip grip soles. You can even get a Mommy &...

A is for Ackbar

Graphic designer Brandon Peat created a series of Star Wars alphabet prints in order to decorate his son Tycho's nursery. The result is magnificent to say the least! The prints have been compiled into a book titled A is for Ackbar, which can be purchased by donating a minimum of $15 to Tycho's college fund. And according to the product/donation page, the volume of donations have been so overwhelming that the donation drive will now end on Thursday, December 9 at 11:59PM EST. What a fun and creative way to decorate your little one's nursery, celebrate one of the greatest film franchises of all time, and build a healthy education fund! I had featured Star Wars ABC Cards before, but I must admit that...
