More Painful Than Stepping on LEGOs

The internet has a tendency to dramatize certain mundane life events, wouldn't you say?  ;-) And if you're reading this, it probably means that you're familiar with the trends and memes of the popular web which also leads me to believe you've heard of the "stepping on a LEGO piece while barefoot" mania. (source) Yes, stepping on LEGO pieces hurt like a mofo. But over the 2+ years of my being a parent, I can say that I have found something even more painful to step on when you're barefoot...

Lego Pop Culture Riddles

It’s no secret that I absolutely ADORE Lego’s clever marketing campaigns — can you believe that this is my fifth post applauding them? (see: 1, 2, 3, 4)

Geektastic Hungry Hungry Hippos Mod

I am majorly crushing on this Koopa-themed Hungry Hungry Hippos game, lovingly modified by Donald (alias Kodykoala), a 30-year-old electrical engineer from El Paso.

Having taken about 50 hours to complete, with each Koopa kid requiring about 10 hours, the game will make its debut public appearance at the El Paso Comic Con — where it will also be available for sale! — this weekend.
