Things That Makes Me Sweat and Shake

There are 3 things that make me unnecessarily nervous: 1.  The "icy" warning in my car's dashboard whenever the temperature dips below freezing. Do car manufacturers think we're idiots? Isn't it obvious that the roads may be icy when it's this cold? I know that the warning is meant to be just that: a warning. But it still makes me extremely anxious whenever I glance down at the dashboard to see this little word whilst driving in freezing conditions. 2.  A "price upon request" label on products in magazines. Especially when it pertains to items I like. I currently don't have a magazine on hand so I'll make do with this painting by Jan Christensen. It can be mildly annoying and a bit depressing. And a big...

Crazy Fan Theories That Make Sense!

It’s funny how different people will interpret different scenarios, even if they’re based on movies, television shows, and video games. And sometimes, you can’t help but wonder if the interpreter didn’t completely overthink a simple concept.  😉

Here’s a compilation of these crazy fan theories via Unreality Mag. A few of the theories sound downright paranoid, but others totally make sense and have you questioning the creators’ motives!

Because I’m Sure I Can’t Be the Only One

There are some things I find weird about myself (sometimes, in conjunction with others in my life) but I know there must be others out there who do the same…right?

  1. I occasionally weigh myself before and after pooping just to see if there’s a difference. (It’s never as much as I expect or hope.)
  2. Every few months, J will lie on top of me and “play dead.” I then try my darndest to try to get out from under him, just to see if I would be able to escape if he were ever to die or pass out on top of me.
  3. During a bawling session, I have run to a mirror to see if I can cry pretty like actors do in movies or television. (I can’t.)
  4. This is exactly how I sleep in the warmer months:

…while the opposite is true in the cold (i.e., one leg out of the blanket).

  5. When I get really stressed out, I like to go through the clothes in my closet and look for wrinkled clothes to iron. I tell my friends that ironing relaxes me because it’s like I can smooth out the wrinkles in the fabric, while I can’t always smooth out the wrinkles in my life. But that’s not always the truth — because I’m not that deep a person. I just really like to iron.

Worst Case Scenarios

Lately I have been plagued with awfully vivid nightmares — ones that jolt me from sleep and keep me up the rest of the night. Take the one from a couple of nights ago, for example: J is killed in a horrific accident. At his funeral, his parents and I get into an argument regarding the future of Claire and BebeDeux — they want to raise them in Hong Kong while I want to raise them here in the U.S. As their birth mother, I have legal custodial rights over them and vehemently refuse to raise my children in a country I have never even visited, which results in J's parents ceasing all contact with us. I sell our condo, taking a great financial...
