Are Posed Infant Photos Creepy?

I'm sure I'll get bashed for saying this, but I always found Anne Geddes photos a bit creepy. I can certainly see the appeal. Babies! In cute poses! With adorable props! What's not to like? However, I always found them distasteful. And from a quick Google search, I have discovered that I am not alone in this viewpoint. I still can't pinpoint the exact reason for my discomfort when looking at these photos. Perhaps a reader can shed some light? At the same time, I certainly have nothing against people who like Anne Geddes' work. After all, beauty — and art — is in the eye of the beholder. Tourists vs Locals

I have never been one to do "tourist-y" activities, even when I am at a locale I have been dying to visit. I'm pretty sure that my aversion to tourist-y activities comes from the combination of the fear of being mistaken for a stereotypical Japanese tourist (because apparently, all Asians look alike) and being around annoying tourists in NYC. A Beauty of a Cam

The Pentax Optio I-10 was announced today. The specs are nothing special but HELLO GORGEOUS! Isn't the body design to die for?   The official site describes the I-10 as "classic styling, slim design." I'm always on the lookout for good, compact point-and-shoot cameras that are not Canon so this is a nice surprise.
