Psyched for “The Office” Baby Episode Tonight!

Yesterday, I received a sample diaper in the mail. I’m not sure where they got my name and address (probably from one of the many online pregnancy communities to which I belong), but the gesture was appreciated nonetheless.

“Do you know how to change a diaper?” I asked J.

“No.”

“Why don’t you practice on this teddy bear? Or the dog?”

He looked at me like I was crazy.

Can you guess where I got the idea from? If you guessed the promo clip for tonight’s The Office one-hour special event, you’re correct!

I am so, so excited to see Jim & Pam’s baby. When I first became pregnant last August, one of the first things that popped into my head was, “Ooh, I’m gonna be pregnant at the same time as Pam!” I was devastated when I lost my baby, but continued to cheer on the Halpert baby. And now that I’m pregnant again, I’m extra psyched and extra excited for my favorite TV couple.

Is anyone else looking forward to tonight’s The Office?

I’m moderately excited, but (oh my gosh this is so stupid but I’m saying it anyway) I got pissed off/sad when I saw the episode in which they found out. That episode came out a month or so after I found out I was pregnant. Our baby was a surprise too, but when I told my husband looked like he was going to pass out or be sick he was so scared, and wouldn’t talk to me about it for two days. Jim just had this amazing smile. and hugged Pam, and they just looked so darn happy.
Don’t get me wrong, we both LOVE our baby to pieces, but I just kinda wanted to smack them in that episode. And then steal their experience. Man, I’m sad, I’m jealous of fictional characters.

That was a pretty awesome episode. Sometimes you just really don’t know whether to kick Michael in the face or hug him. 🙂

I have a question for you. You seem to have experience with a couple of different blogging networks (the bridal one, for example). I’d love to get tapped into a blogging network of people whose interests are similar to mine – or maybe just pregnancy-ish related. Have you made any connections in that area, and if so, would you be willing to give me any recommendations? I’d love to read good blogs and have people read mine.

As always, enjoying your blog immensely and rooting for you and your kumquat!
