Sharing is Caring

My cousin told me that when her daughter first entered preschool, and her teachers were attempting to teach her the concept of "sharing is caring," she began to use it for her own advantage. In other words, whenever she saw another child playing with a toy she liked, she would march on over, tell the poor kid, "Sharing is caring!" and take the toy for herself!  Since Claire and BebeDeux will only be 13 months apart in age, we have been hoping that they will learn to share at an early age without much intervention from us. But recent events are leading me to believe that perhaps Claire is already starting to grasp the idea...

Tattletale

J loves our firstborn with all his heart. It is not unusual for him to spend an entire Saturday playing with her, then stare forlornly at the baby monitor after he has put her to bed and sigh, "I miss my baby." As such, I couldn't help but find the engagement photos of Juliana S. Park and Benjamin J. Lee to be hilarious, completely original, and utterly irresistible. And we thought we had a great idea to have our engagement photos taken at the Metropolitan Museum of Art...

Arrested Development + Lego = Awesome Sauce

As a huge fan of the canceled television show Arrested Development (I couldn't have been more proud of my husband when he named his Fantasy Football team "Steve Holt!" one year), I am LOVING these meticulously-detailed pieces by Matt De Lanoy. Photographed by Pepa Quin, the display was a wonderful addition to Brickworld 2011 in Chicago. The model home, with all of the major characters. The stair car. Michael and his son George Michael. Maeby holding a script (notice George Michael in the background, staring at her). Gob with his rude puppet Franklin (and George in the background). Lindsay and Tobias in his Blue Man Group getup. Lucille and Buster. Via Flavorwire. P.S. — I know that an Arrested Development movie is in the works, but I am not too sure that it...
