All Airports Should Have BannerXpress Kiosks

Last month, Amsterdam's Schipol Airport became the first airport to install a BannerXpress kiosk and the banner printing machine couldn't be more popular. Installed at the airport's arrivals area, BannerXpress allows friends and families of passengers to create and print "welcome home" banners with custom fonts, graphics, messages and background images. The kiosk accepts debit and credit cards and charges from around $5.30 for a small banner, to up to $20 for the largest option which are printed on a canvas material in just a couple of minutes. Guest Post: Lifelong Partner, Lifelong Travel Companion

Today's guest post comes from someone whose blog I have been enjoying since my own blogging days on Xanga: Ray, otherwise known as jigg. Ray recently celebrated a kickass BBQ wedding and is fresh back from a European honeymoon; after all this excitement he is currently on a short blogging hiatus, but was kind enough to contribute a post for my blogging maternity break. The proof is...

Photo Opportunities: Hundreds of Tourist Photos as One

Conducting online keyword searches for world-famous monuments and tourist hotspots, visual artist Corinne Vionnet culled thousands of tourists' snapshots for her series Photo Opportunities. Each image in the series was created by superimposing hundreds of pictures of the monuments — the effect is quite haunting and ethereal, and inevitably wistful. Saint Basil's Cathedral, Moscow Tiananmen Square, Beijing, China Taj Mahal, India Mecca, Saudi Arabia Acropolis of Athens, Greece The (former) World Trade Center, New York Coliseum of Rome, Italy Eiffel Tower, Paris, France Himeji Castle, Japan Head on over to My Modern Met for more from the series. Via Geekosystem....
