anaPad: An Analog iPad

I've always said that even if we do end up getting an iPad or a Motorola Xoom (we still haven't decided which), I would be reluctant to let our kids play with such an expensive device. Then there's the imagination factor. As much as I am a geek and technophile, it always makes me a bit sad when I see little kids preferring digital devices over some paper and crayons. Tips for Finding a Good Nanny

Today was not a good day for me. I experienced perhaps my worst case of nausea since becoming pregnant and spent the majority of the day sitting on the bathroom floor (with my phone and Comang to keep me company), gagging and vomiting what had to be mostly stomach bile. And since I am supposed to be taking it easy (and the nanny isn't available on Wednesdays), J took the day off from work today so that he could watch Claire and tend to my needs. I'm trying my best to rest, but I am having trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. As such, I am momentarily keeping myself busy on the interweb while I wait for my Unisom to kick in. One bright side to having another girl — especially one so close in age...

My accomplishments included the following: Not only did I qualify for the regional orchestra made up of 50 high schools in the lower NY area, I wrangled solo performances. I was accepted to the über-prestigious Cooper Union School of Art's Saturday Program (which has since divided into the Saturday Program and the Outreach Program) which allowed me to take art classes — for free — every Saturday for an entire summer from some of the...
