Most countries will deny you entry if your passport is expiring within 6 months or less. I am pretty sure Canada is not such a country, but most in the world are.

I second with Kevin’s comment. I had to renew my passport (even though expiration was ~9 months out) when I went back to HK recently. You should be fine though cuz I feel like you would have issues checking in if they were going to deny you back. Have a fun trip!
